Position Title: Membership Coordinator
Reports To: President/CEO
Location: Fruita, CO
Employment Type: Part-Time (25-30 hours weekly)
Pay: Hourly: $17-19 depending on experience
About the Role:
The Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Membership Coordinator to help us grow, engage, and support our business community. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, relationship-oriented individual with a passion for connecting people and making a difference in the local economy. As the Membership Coordinator, you’ll be on the frontlines of our membership experience, supporting recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention efforts. This position is a stepping stone to future leadership within our team.

As the Membership Coordinator, you’ll be on the frontlines of our membership experience, supporting recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention efforts. This position is a stepping stone to future leadership within our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new and prospective members.
- Oversee onboarding for all new members, including welcome outreach and coordinating ribbon cuttings.
- Coordinate membership retention and engagement efforts through emails, calls, and in-person visits.
- Collect and analyze data and member feedback to support engagement, retention, and programming.
- Monitor and respond to the membership@fruitachamber.org inbox daily.
- Oversee monthly and weekly member communications including newsletter content, event invites, and membership spotlights.
- Assist with member features and social media highlights.
- Support and co-lead the Chamber Ambassador and Chamber Buddy programs.
- Assist with tracking and fulfilling Business After Hours passes and attendance.
- Work with Chamber staff and interns to ensure accurate, timely, and engaging communications.
- Collaborate with team to recruit sponsors and support the Annual Partners for Progress campaign.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Experience with customer service, community outreach, or membership programs is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp) is a plus.
- Ability to attend occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekend events.
